Seniors may unintentionally forget to take their medications. Quality Homecare Cape Cod is a non-medical homecare service. Our caregivers CAN NOT give medications, however they can REMIND and WATCH family members take their medications at the correct time. This gives family member’s a peace of mind knowing that their loved one is safe and compliant with their medications.
Different aspects of dementia can impact a person’s ability to think, recall or communicate. Some client’s exhibit behaviors that indicate a need for emotional, physical and personal support. Quality Homecare Cape Cod customizes care plans that are specific to our clients needs. Our caregivers are qualified to recognize specific changes so that we are able to modify care plans as needed. Our goal is to promote safety and self worth while maintaining continuity of care.
Personal Hygiene and Dressing
As we age simple tasks of daily living sometimes become challenging. Our caregivers are able to tend to the needs of your loved one which ultimately gives a lending hand to family and their loved ones. Our caregivers assist with a variety of hands on personal care services, and are experienced in bathing/showers/sponge baths, toileting and incontinence care, shaving, oral care, dentures and dressing. Our caregivers go above and beyond, and provide services tailored to each client depending on individual needs.
Proper positioning and repositioning allows for better circulation. Our caregivers are trained to position and examine areas of the body that are less visual. Maintaining proper skin integrity such as feet and buttocks, help to prevent skin breakdown and promotes good health.
Assistance with Ambulation/Transfers
During the initial assessment our Nurse Case Manager will provide a home safety check. It is during this time that a client’s home is evaluated for grab bars, ramps and apparatus for example, that may be needed specifically for the client to maintain safety in the home. In addition, the nurse case manager will supervise the client ambulating within the home to ensure that all devices used such as walkers and canes are used safely. Proper body mechanics for the client and caregiver reduce falls, energy exerted and creates safety in the home. Safety in the home is a priority for us at Quality Homecare Cape Cod.
Nutrition and Hydration
Our caregivers are diligent in helping our clients choose, prep and/or cook healthy meals, as well as encourage hydration. Often seniors are dehydrated due to not drinking enough fluids during the day. Our caregivers monitor and encourage hydration and proper nutrition.

Fall Risk Management
Balance and walking become challenging as we age. The results of a fall can lead to fractures and/or hospitalization. Home and client safety evaluations are performed prior to admission and are ongoing.
We require our caregivers to have automobile insurance as well as a valid driver’s license. We have clients who are unable to drive but still enjoy being active and social. Our caregivers are able to transport and accompany your loved one to a doctor’s appointment. They may even enjoy a Sunday drive, an errand to the post office, shopping or a visit to the beach.
Is distance an issue for you and your loved one? Allow us to provide comfort to your family member to avoid loneliness and depression. We provide trusted companionship and assistance with daily tasks. Some of the many services that we provide are reading the paper or a book, playing cards and games, talking or going for a walk. These types of social activities keep one's mind active and to create a bond between client and caregiver. This enables a client to feel safe in their own home.
